    Learning by Immersion

Why is the Novakid programme so effective?

One important reason is that we use the immersive approach to language learning. This means that students learn English in much the same way that natives do - through communication with native teachers in a fun virtual classroom. Lessons are engaging, fast-paced and last just 25 minutes, making it easier for children to maintain focus and retain the material. Students look forward to their lessons - each one of which is an exciting quest!

Parents can easily monitor their child’s progress by means of the achievements system and by reading the detailed feedback left by their teacher at the end of every lesson.

    Programmes according to ages

Novakid programmes take into account psychological characteristics of children of different ages. At a trial lesson, the teacher determines a kid's level considering their age and knowledge. Novakid teachers and methodologists monitor progress and adjust the programme according to the child's needs throughout the entire learning process.

      Levels and Units
Novakid programmes are based on the CEFR framework and consist of 4 main levels, as well as a special programme for pre-school students and two advanced speaking-intensive courses (Time2Talk and Virtual Explorer). Each level consists of 10-14 units and each unit has 4 classes on one topic, with defined grammar, vocabulary and speaking practice elements per unit.

      Personal Approach
All classes are taught 1:1, meaning that students really get to know their regular teachers. Teachers monitor, manage and reward students' progress with achievements and certificates. Additionally, teachers can assign extra grammar, speaking and reading practice classes based on each child’s specific needs.
    • clock image
      Class Duration
Lessons last for 25 minutes. There is enough time to cover the material adequately, but not so much time that students get bored or over-tired. Studies confirm that in 1:1 classes the workload is much greater than in group settings, meaning that 25 minutes really is the perfect length of class time.
We track the progress of each student and regularly send out certificates outlining the skills they have demonstrated
    section.certificate.item1.imageAlt
At the end of each level, students receive a level certificate - their first serious achievement in learning English!
    section.certificate.item2.imageAlt

We are convinced that students should have fun in class and be proud of their progress. After completing each level successfully, Novakid students receive certificates of achievement, and parents can even share these certificates on their social networks!

    TPR Method

    (Total Physical Response)
Total Physical Response (TPR) means using the whole body when learning. The teacher not only presents language in written or spoken form, but with facial expressions, gestures and even movements of the whole body! This method enables a student to better understand the meaning of what they are being taught and also activates more areas of their brain to facilitate learning. Children are encouraged to repeat and join in with movements and gestures during class, helping them learn the material much faster and more efficiently. Together with the communicative approach, the TPR method gives great, proven results.

    Novakid teachers

We carefully select our teachers. After rigorously checking diplomas and certificates, we ask them to conduct a ‘live’ demo-class with a Novakid specialist to test the professionalism of the teacher. All teachers continue to engage in professional development, helping to keep standards very high!
