How to pronounce "Tiramisu"?
Hello), My eldest daughter Lili excitedly shared her love for Italian desserts and mentioned "tiramisu." As I attempted to pronounce it, my youngest son giggled at my struggle, prompting me to seek your guidance on the correct pronunciation.

Hi, Leonard Olleik!

Personally, 'tiramisu' is one of my favorite desserts. It is made of lady-finger pastries dipped in coffee. It is then layered with a mixture of eggs, sugar, and mascarpone and flavored with cocoa.

It has a pretty straightforward pronunciation: tir-a-mi-su. In American pronunciation, the third syllable 'mi' is pronounced like 'mee' in 'meeting' and the fourth syllable 'su' is said similarly with 'sue'. On the contrary, if you are to use the British pronunciation, only the last syllable 'su' has a long pronunciation.
