What does "Turning a Blind Eye" mean?
Dear Miss, In a book, we encountered a character who witnessed bullying but chose to "turn a blind eye." Curious about its meaning please.

Hi there, Martina Dvořáková.

If we “turn a blind eye” towards something, it can be inferred to be ignoring a bad or unpleasant situation. It can also mean pretending not to notice what has been happening.

We can use it as such, “Her sister is turning a blind eye when she sees her sneaking out at night to meet her friends.”

I personally think that we shouldn't turn a blind eye when we witness something serious as bullying.
