Learning about astrology is a wonderful hobby to pick up. I remember being keen on it from an early age, just like your little stargazer.


I think the easiest way to explain an elliptical galaxy is to talk about its shape.  Elliptical galaxies are like "stretched circles". They looked like circles that had been pulled and stretched from side to side. It has no visible internal structure or spiral arms. To illustrate, you can use a rubber band and pull it from opposite sides. That's how an elliptical galaxy would look like.
